Gangdong Hwaam Jusangjeolli Cliff

  • Jusangjeolli Cliff is a geological feature with overlapping long columnar rocks where the cross section is hexagonal or triangular. The Jusangjeolli Cliff around Hwaam Village Beach is a cooling joint created by thermal shrinkage of basalt lava which erupted during the third era of the Cenozoic era (about 20 million years ago). Its appearance is shaped like a pile of wood which stands horizontally or vertically. The length averages tens of meters, and the length of the main body transverse section is about 50 cm
